Health Benefits of Humor and Laughter

A good sense of humor is one of the most effective ways we have to make certain our daily mood and emotional state supports good health. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert. Even in the most difficult of times, a laugh, or even a smile, can go ...a long way toward making you feel better.

Humor can strengthen a relationship through positive feelings. A positive emotional connection is created when we laugh with one another. This connection, or bond, also creates a buffer against stress, disagreements, and disappointment.

Laughter can bring people together during difficult times. One of the most effective tools for keeping relationships fresh and exciting is shared laughter. Sharing emotions builds strong and lasting relationship bonds, but sharing laughter and play adds joy, vitality, and resilience.

Laughter is said to be of the best medicines available. Laughter can boost energy, strengthen the immune system, reduce pain, and protect from the damaging effects of stress and all for free!

Make a conscious effort to smile, or better, LAUGH today!
